Oh Canada!
Banff, Canada is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Driving from The Calgary Airport you really get to take in the beauty of this city surrounded by Canadian Rockies. Visiting Banff, you will see breathtaking scenery, including emerald lakes, towering snowcapped peaks, and pristine wilderness. The jewel of Banff is the world-renowned Banff National Park, which is home to some of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth. Visitors can explore the park’s vast expanse of forests, mountains, and glaciers, or take in the stunning views right from your window. Banff is truly a destination that leaves an unforgettable impression on all who visit.

Staying near Banff National Park
I really can’t say enough about it. It is quite breathtaking. We stayed in Harvey Heights for the 1st part of the trip and then in Canmore at The Basecamp Suites Canmore. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to explore the town of Canmore, with its charming shops and restaurants, while still being close enough to Banff National Park to take advantage of all it had to offer.
Snowy conditions even in late June
Unfortunately, the weather in Banff during our visit in late June was not as warm as we had hoped, and as a result, some of the trails we had planned to explore were closed due to snow and ice. While this was disappointing, we were still able to find plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area, such as scenic drives and exploring the city.

If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again!
Our first accommodations during the trip turned out to be disappointing. However, we were able to quickly address the situation and moved to a much better accommodation nearby.
The new place had everything we were looking for. We were happy that we were able to find a better place to stay, and it turned out to be a positive experience overall.
